Our handcrafted soap is quite different from the products you purchase in the store. Our handcrafted soaps are better for the skin. This is due to our handcrafted soap containing glycerin, which is a natural by-product that moisturises. Today, commercial soaps remove some or all of the glycerin, choosing other ingredients to help moisturise.
Commercial soaps have various chemicals added to make them firm and longer lasting. This means when you wash, you are actually coating your body with chemicals, which for some people causes serious problems of irritability.
Most commercial soaps are made using animal fats such as Sodium Tallowate (Tallow). This ingredient is extremely saturated, actually causing clogged pores and eczema in people with sensitive skin.
Our handcrafted soaps are made with essential oils, which come from plants, being the very essence of the plant. Essential oils add healing properties to the soap which benefit the skin and overall health.
